Re: Autodetect IC (mostly SPI)

Wow this is great news.
The list I personaly need most are SPI Chips (Notebook Bios ICs) so everything 3.3v from Winbond to MX/EN from 4MB to 32MB size.
I really appreciate the effort :)

Re: SVP for Lenovo Bios chip no: 25L25673G

The SVP is stored in the EEPROM / MEC Chip.
The "old methode" does not work anymore with 9th gen and up Models as the BIOS has changed by a lot.

Re: Autodetect IC (mostly SPI)

Thanks for the goodwill in adding/changing stuff. CRC works fine now but could be improved in two ways: - Use black as color in the statusbar - Disable the calculate pop-up message if the checkbox is selected (or make this an option) I understand the problem about missing information in the Database...

Re: Autodetect IC (mostly SPI)

Hey ArT. Thanks for the clarification and offer for custom software with automatic CRC. From my perspective many things can be improved and most of them are just very minor. Let me know if you think it makes sense to write things up or create more mockups. Just to clairy my intensions visually I mad...

Re: Autodetect IC (mostly SPI)

"...it will be considered, nothing to add at the moment."
not sure how I should take this info. I'm not really asking for much besides better useability / easier workflow from my pov or at least options (like auto crc32) to do so.

Re: Autodetect IC (mostly SPI)

And please auto-calculate crc32. the extra click in the statusbar is just unnecessary nowadays (or make an option to always autocalculate crc in options)

Re: Autodetect IC (mostly SPI)

I see. It is disabled by default or I disabled the "remember last selected device" in Options. I have seen the general stuff about 25...64 / 256 and so on. This is nice, no doubt but if the Size of the SPI changes (you may work on two devices) than you have to select the other type to get ...

Re: Autodetect IC (mostly SPI)

I saw the function but could you somewhat improve this? at least after using Read ID (should get a button in the main UI) something like "select and apply" so that no extra step to select it in the database afterwards is necessary. Maybe something like a default mode or like a session woul...

Autodetect IC (mostly SPI)

Hey, I'm new to the programmer but searched the board for "Autodetect" / "Detect" and so on for the more or less common feature on other programmers. - I just wanted to confirm that this function is really not (yet?) implemented? I really miss an Autodetect IC feature. I would be...
