Re: Tracking Petrol tank by injector pulse and LPG tank by 5v

I've changed my mind. Given how rough the accuracy of this system would be, and that my injector pulses for the injectors are still seen even when the system is running on LPG, I've just added 25% to the injector pulse values for LPG compared to petrol. It's inaccurate, but so would everything else ...

Re: Tracking Petrol tank by injector pulse and LPG tank by 5v

Right I'm going to give this a shot. I'll try using an Arduino Nano Every to monitor ECU injector pulses, as well as the gas electrovalve and stepper motor. Based on known gas regulator output pressure, I'll use the stepper motor pulses as an estimate of gas flow. I'll use the Arduino Nano to genera...

Re: Tracking Petrol tank by injector pulse and LPG tank by 5v

Thanks Artur, I just discovered that this unit also has an LPG Stepper motor for controlling gas flow. I'm going to look into monitoring its signals and use my own Arduino PCB to translate that into some semblance of an injector pulse I can send to the UTCOMP.

Tracking Petrol tank by injector pulse and LPG tank by 5v

Hi Artur, I have a dual fuel Mitsubishi Pajero/Montero (1998 Model) but the LPG system is a simple gas mixer type. It has a controller which disables the fuel injectors, and the UTCOMP can detect when it is active in LPG mode by monitoring the LPG electrovalve. However what I need to do is monitor t...

Creating my own custom chips for stuff like fuel gauge calibration

Hi Artur, I've made my own Arduino-based circuits for stuff lately, one of them is a calibrator for my fuel gauge which in my car is very inaccurate. It sends a spoofed fuel sender signal to the gauge by PWM switching the fuel gauge circuit, based on my own ADC readings of the fuel senders (by using...

Correct re-flash procedure for corrupted icons

Hi Artur, on my UTCOMP some of the icons are corrupted. How can I reflash the module so that all of the icons are pushed to the flash storage again?

Re: Assembly DS18B20 digital temperature sensors + waterpoof trick

I've used AG TermoGlue, it needs about hour in room temperature, consisentcy is like hard silicone https://www.tme.eu/pl/details/termoglue-10/kleje/ag-termopasty/art-agt-116/ Interestingly that looks very similar to - and has the same specs as - the stuff I used. :D I found an interesting article t...

Re: Assembly DS18B20 digital temperature sensors + waterpoof trick

Hello Artur, I know this is a very old post but I just modified a 1/8 NPT sensor bung to glue in a DS18B20 into it and had a slightly different experience with the thermal adhesive. I used a product called "STARS-922 heatsink compound" as it was the only thermally conductive glue I could f...

Re: UTCOMP suggestions for incoming updates

Ethanol is on todo list but as you know how is it.. many projects.. many tasks.. and priority list :? This feature is still waiting in quene :( Even if not official release I try to prepare you custom firmware with required mods. Thanks Artur. I did get a friend to make up an ethanol logo but at th...

Monitoring Ethanol Content with Zeitronix ECA-2

Whilst it is currently not possible to select an option for monitoring ethanol content for E85 vehicles in UTCOMP, you can use the existing pressure options when using an ethanol sensor that outputs a 0-5v signal, which in this example is a Zeitronix ECA-2 ( http://zeitronix.com/Products/ECA/ECA2.sh...
