Are we capable of generating cisco signature for any changes made in serial no, vendor information, if so, how do I generate it?
if not, what is the possible solution to it? Please let me know

Cisco original SFP contains a signature and is unique for every serial number. Cisco switch checks the signature to detect original compatible transceiver. Thanks for your response, I was able to recode the the optic using password but still it does not work as it should be. I am sure now since you mentioned already, its definitely firmware on HP optics which makes it different then other platforms. If we need to change it we need to have the right fir...
