Re: Oil pressure changing with battery voltage

I noticed that there was some voltage between engine block and negative battery terminal, that voltage changed with the load. Alternator is the reason for this voltage change, I guess resistance in ground wiring allow small rise in the engine blocks voltage level. I managed to alleviate problem by c...

Re: Oil pressure changing with battery voltage

Utcomp is connected to the sensor pin, there is nothing else connected to the same sensor.
Second pin (no connection) is for warning contact and ground is connected through engine block.

Oil pressure changing with battery voltage

Hi I have a VDO oil pressure sensor connected only to AdcVcc1. I calibrated sensor using excel sheet on tutorials topic. Utcomp shows bit low readings compared to resistance value measured with multimeter, that can be fixed changing calibration values. But what I have not solved is pressure values c...

Re: Fuel consumption signal

I have means to program ECU if enabling output is possible by just enabling it in some address.
Otherwise I will just use cars own (fading) MFA screen.
Thank you for your time and effort solving this problem.

Re: Fuel consumption signal

Diagnostic screen shows no pulses from pin 28. And pin 20 shows pulses only when moving car.

Re: Fuel consumption signal

I tried both PWM -/+ on pin 20 and 28. After I changed to pin 28 (yellow wire) seems like there is no signal (zero on utcomp display). Could it be that consumption calculation happens in the instrument cluster in this car? I guess that Instrument cluster is connected via CAN-bus, So I might have to ...

Re: Fuel consumption signal

I connected wire only to the pin 20. Utcomp is set for PWM(-). I noticed that utcomp shows readings while car is moving, but I think they are not consumption related. For example rolling downhill with gear on, instrument cluster goes to zero while utcomp is showing readings. When I stop utcomp displ...

Re: Fuel consumption signal

I switched wire to the pin20, now utcomp shows only zero l/h.
There is another white-blue wire in pin 21. could signal be there? I don't have pinout for ECU so I'm afraid to just try.

Re: Fuel consumption signal

Hi! I have similar problem, but with 2003 (AVF) TDI passat. Pin for fuel consumption signal was empty in the instrument cluster, so I spliced signal from one of the PD(piezo)injectors. I searched for signal waveform and it looks like this: https://www.picoauto.com/images/uploads/agt/_sml/gt385-examp...
