Re: 93..86 eeprom with 16 bit data

Hello,

I tried different voltages but none seemed to work. It looks like desoldering is the only option at this point.

Thanks for your help!

Re: 93..86 eeprom with 16 bit data

Hello ArT, Thanks for your reply. I am reading it in circuit and at 3.3v. I don't have the ability to remove the chip and read it in socket. Is there any way to get it to read in circuit? I have attached a photo of the board and circled the chip I'm trying to read. If I remember correctly I've seen ...

93..86 eeprom with 16 bit data

Re: Copying a 93c86 chip in circuit

Hello Art!

Thanks for your help. I tried lower voltage, at 3.3V and was able to read the eeprom. I am curious though will that also work when writing back to the other eeprom or could it cause issues?

Thanks!

Copying a 93c86 chip in circuit

Hello! I am trying to copy a 93c86 eeprom chip in circuit. I have wired the SOIC clip according to the diagram on the chip selection screen. I keep getting an Overload protection error. The chip is in a Subaru ecu board. I have seen videos and other forum posts where it was shown to be possible to r...
