Re: problems getting egt-k sensor to read in utcomp

Opened it today and measured 0ohm between the terminals and the soldering points on the print card, so it seems like its dead internally somehow?

Ill send You an email to get in touch.

Thanks again,

Re: problems getting egt-k sensor to read in utcomp

Unfortunately I'm absolutely sure. I measured today again. It is indeed a 1ch variant. I am happy to open it and take a look, possibly re-solder it if its as easy as a broken connection. If its that simple, its stupid to ship it around europe! :) But maybe you have some tricks on how to open it with...

Re: problems getting egt-k sensor to read in utcomp

Did some more testing today. There is no difference in the output with the input short circuited or completely disconnected. Today, the readings was around 5-7mV - but I'm not that sure about the accuracy of the voltmeter I'm using so it might as well be nothing. The output terminal feels very wobbl...

Re: problems getting egt-k sensor to read in utcomp

Hi Art, and thanks for the quick reply! I have measured 14,6v in on the amplifier on the power supply input. I also measured some fluctuating mV values that were hard to determine if was anything at all on the input from the EGT-K probe. I will try to disconnect it and measure the output without the...

problems getting egt-k sensor to read in utcomp

Hi! I recently installed an egt-k sensor with amplifier and connected it to utcomp. No matter what I do, utcomp reads 0C and occasionally blink up with 1degree - but very seldom. I have mounted the sensor itself in the exhaust manifold. The amplifier is located near my fuses on top of the battery, j...

Re: Adding boost pressure sensor to my install

I installed the boost sensor today, and I am getting readings. They are a bit wobbly, but with some adjustments I managed to get some readings. I adjusted the AFR values, and ended up with a=25.90 b=-12.90. That gave me some sensible readings from 0-4.4 psi. Does these numbers seem sensible to you? ...

Re: Adding boost pressure sensor to my install

So basically if I copy the values from the pressure readings, I can read out pressure in PSI with the AFR variable? Thats a great idea! Thank you so much! The easiest install for me will be to drill and tap a 1/8" npt hole in the upper intake manifold. I have seen similar pressure sensors befor...

Adding boost pressure sensor to my install

Hi! I have a couple of question about boost pressure sensors. I have a spare of the oil and fuel pressure sensors. Is there any reason why I couldn't´t use it to measure boost pressure? Also - at the moment, I´ve used all the pressure reading inputs - is there a trick to add another one, or would th...

Re: Bouncing fuel pressure sensor

Again I have to say that this is really amazing customer service! So cool!! :D I installed the new firmware and software today and played around with the numbers. Started with 800ms average (40 samples) which was dead steady, and after driving around and changing it a bit I settled for the 600ms ave...

Re: Bouncing fuel pressure sensor

That is very kind of you to offer! At the moment, I am able to read the pressures, and it´s good to know that the readings from the gauges are the same. It would perhaps be more interesting to see how the readings would be with 0.6s averaging for all the inputs if you don´t mind? Thank you so much a...
