How is Vavg (Averge Speed) Calculated

Is the Vavg on the trip summary calculated as a MOVING average? After a 1200 mile trip, my average velocity seems lower than I would have expected.

Re: Trip Summary - Incorrect Values

Trip is calculated from 2 fuels. Have you updated utcomp last time? (-256 vmax is after update). Please restart trip statistics and let me know how it looks like after some trip. I don't understand "trip is calculated from 2 fuels".. what does that mean. I am running 3.7 I'll have to figu...

Trip Summary - Incorrect Values

I've noticed on the trip summary page during power off has incorrect values, the Vavg and Vmax are entirely wrong. Any thoughts on how to correct? The speedometer function works... 20200616_124423.jpg Matthew PS - Oddly the MPG value is correct... but I don't have a fuel flow sensor! So I'm not even...

Re: Using Digital Output for Electric Fan Controller?

A minor update.... the Songle relay I used did not last long controlling a high amperage fan. I had to redesign the setup to have a relay control a relay.

UTComp-Pro - 1968 Dodge Travco Motorhome

I've restored a vintage 1968 Dodge Travco Motorhome and replaced the old gauges with a UTComp-Pro. Re: Sensors to allow fitting to 1970's VW camper van.

This might work: http://enginemeter.com/site/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=78&Itemid=479 From supplier: You can supply this sensor from +4.5 to +24V. The current consumption is about 10mA. There is an internal 10kOhm pull up resistor on the output (pulse signal). Buy here:...

Speed Sensor Connection Verification

Art, I purchased the attached mechanical to digital speed sensor that I've installed in my transmission. I want to verify the connections before actually wiring it up. It uses 3 wires: 12v power, Ground and Signal VSS.png UTComp doesn't have a 12v supply, so I'll supply it power externally. My quest...
