Re: Three wire oil pressure and two wire NTC oil temperature sensor shared ground

Well I got my parts and fitted them. I wired both sensor grounds to the same ground as the UTCOMP and had no issues.

Looks like you were right!

Re: Three wire oil pressure and two wire NTC oil temperature sensor shared ground

Thanks Artur, I'm about to convert my car to using the same sensors as those that behaved oddly. With mine, I will wire both the oil pressure and oil temperature sensors to a chassis ground. I think your assessment of the ground impedance is probably correct. Nevertheless, I will post back here with...

Three wire oil pressure and two wire NTC oil temperature sensor shared ground

Hi Artur, I just attemped to fit the following to my friend's car: ⋅ Three wire oil pressure sensor ⋅ Two wire NTC-1 oil temperature sensor Both these sensors are the same sensors you sell on your website. The wiring for these sensors was: ⋅ A6: +5v for oil pressure &sd...

Calibration for three-wire sensor with 5.2 volt VREF

I am about to install a UTCOMP Pro for a friend where we are using dedicated MAP and oil pressure sensors which both use three wires (+5v, GND, Signal). One of these is the same oil pressure sensor you sell, and we will be using the +5v signal from the UTCOMP used for the digital temperature sensors...

Re: UTCOMP suggestions for incoming updates

Hi again Artur - I seem to have lots of suggestions and requests! I would like to use one of the spare ADC ports on my UTCOMP-Pro to measure fuel rail pressure. My preference would be to use a three wire sensor pressure sensor, like the unit you sell. What is missing in the software is an option for...

Re: Mitsubishi Galant/Legnum VR4 1996-2002

For some extra information on calibration of the boost sensor, getting a reading of 0 psi (or bar) requires that you know what the voltage of the sensor will be when the engine is not running. The easiest way to get this data is to check the voltage that the UTCOMP is seeing for this sensor input on...

Re: Sharing A6 (+5V) and A4 (GND) between two sensors

I made a mistake in my first post (since corrected) where I referred to the digital input pins. I have corrected that to refer to the Adc pins for signal.

Sharing A6 (+5V) and A4 (GND) between two sensors

Is it possible to share the +5V and GND between two three-wire sensors so that the only dedicated wire for each sensor is the signal wire? I would like to setup a three wire oil pressure sensor and three wire temperature sensor, but only use a single 4-core cable to do it. The plan being: A6: Shared...

Re: UTCOMP suggestions for incoming updates

I would like to be able to set a percentage variance between the speed calculated and shown on the UTCOMP and the odometer distance calculation. Many vehicles (including mine) have accurate odometers but the speedometer on the dashboard reads high (often by up to 7%). If I correct the UTCOMP to disp...

Re: Mitsubishi Galant/Legnum VR4 1996-2002

I've performed the calibration. After a 170km drive the accurate calibration is: 0.00567. A difference of only 0.00005 from the original guess of 0.00572. Not a bad original guess! The UTCOMP said I had consumed 19.4 litres of fuel, and the actual amount I filled was 19.3. Over a 170km journey that ...
