UT-Comp Pro rebooting

Postby Ssaga66 » Wed May 22, 2024 1:39 pm

Hi,
have a problem I can´t wrap my head around.
When running big power users like cooling fan the UTComp shuts down and reboot.
Are there any protection function for low voltage in UT-Comp?

UTCOMP has built in 2x goldcaps 1F inside (super capacitors) so short power failures (up to 3 seconds) should not be the case. You can test if these caps are working properly by setting trip summary screen e.g. to 10 seconds, disconnect power supply and measure how long screen is displayed until UTCOMP will switch off.

If goldcaps are fine, the issue may be with external noise - please check your ground connection - should be stable ground from BAT minus. It can be ground from chassis but not next to fan connections.
