Buffer battery?

Hi, when my car battery drops below a certain voltage (sustained below 12V) UTCOMP Pro seems to forget all values/settings and needs me to reconnect and upload settings from PC.
Is there a known solution to make UTCOMP pro "remember" all its settings, even without prolonged connection to 12V+?

First of all UTCOMP-PRO has internal super capacitors, when you disconnect +12V power supply it will still work few seconds. Secondly - it stores all settings in non-volatile memory - after hard reset all settings should be saved, only watch and trip will be resseted. I think that issue is in different place. I'll need to check this module because it's unusual
