Firmware UTCOMP-3

Three years ago I bought the UTCOMP-2. Now there is a newer version available UTCOMP-3. This looks the same as the UTCOMP-2. Is it possible to use the firmware of UTCOMP-3 in UTCOMP-2? Or is the hardware too different?
