Push buttons will not work

Hi,
seems like my UTCOMP-3 push buttons has lost functionality.
Use to work but now even straight connections/short-cuts on connector A will not make any action.
Any idea what has failed / how to fix?

There use to be couple times "frozen" screen suddenly to one of windows (not default) but did disappear after a while / reboot.
Now has been working otherwise but not recognizing any buttons.

Thnx for your reply in advance!

Have you tested connection SW1/SW2/SW3 inputs directly to ground? Please check if wires have good connection in connector.
Do you mean UTCOMP-3 or UTCOMP-PRO?
UTCOMP-3 have already 4+ years, you can try to reprogramm it, I can share you reprogramming software but please let me know which version exactly do you have.

Yes, tried jump from UTCOMP-3 connector A1 - A15 (-A3 & -A14) but no function.
Wires and connector pins are all ok.
Sorry, yes it is UTCOMP-PRO, sticker behind W-4993. SW & FW = v3.8.0

I've sent you on PM update tool so you can reprogram internal flash without sending device to us. Please reprogram it to latest version to check if strange behaviour is from corrupted firmware or from fault on hardware.

Thnx! Managed to make fw update successfully. Unfortunately buttons still not working... must be issue on board then? Is there any replacement parts or whole new unit?

Switches are directly connected to MCU via 1k ohm resistors in series. Please check this resistors I marked on image below. If they are fine and connection is fine - I worry that faulty is MCU, can not be replaced by user. And the question is - what happened, because usually more than +5.5V on senstive pins may damage some ports.

Ok. As it is installed on motorbike I might think some rain water possibility on connector…but still doubt as it is very hidden/well covered spot…and all pins are clean and ok.

But now it might take some time to disassemble the box and have access to open it.
Good thing is display is working and shows metered values ok.
Maybe in next winter I open it? Or of course in case it will cause some trouble.

But I’ll come back then if I found smth.
Thnx!

If you suspect water, it's better to open asap, maybe cleaning with IPA alcohol will be enough or replacing corroded resistors. If you wait, damage can continue (if it's water ofc).
