Bosch MAP Sensor NTC

Postby snaxxi » Sun Jun 16, 2019 9:51 pm

Hi,

i have an UTCOMP-PRO and wanted to connect my MAP sensor. I'm using a 400 kPa Bosch Sensor with 4 Pins (Part No. 0 281 002 576). Boost signal works fine but i also want to use the NTC resistor for intake temperature.

I'm not sure if i have to connect it to AdcX (0-5V) or 0 AdcVccX (0-5V, +5V PULL-UP) since the sensor is already powered with 5V since i just split the cable (one from car harness and one for UTCOMP). Also i'm not sure about the configuration and set the following based on bosch documents:

url: http://360.haubits.net/VolvoRacing.se/Sensors.pdf
Resistance: 2,5kO
Temperature: 293,15K (20°C)

With this configuration and connection to AdcX (0-5V) i get ridiculous values.

I hope you guys can help me out.

You should connect to AdcX but you will need to get voltage (NOT resistance) table, so you will need to connect with diagnostic tool and make table temperature/voltage and scale with this table

Thank's for your answer. So the connection is right at least.
So i have to get the voltage/temperature table and calculate the needed values for UTCOMP configuration from there?
Can you provide me a link how to calculate those values?

You have ready to use excel in this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=28&t=58 (use NTC(U) sheet).
Please feel free to ask if you will have any further questions :)

@snaxxi; Did you get the missing values? If yes, can you tell them please?
Thank you in advance. ;)

Update:
I got them if anyone else is interested in.
The values are for most of boschs "stock" NTC sensors (see above).
AdcX (0-5V) dosn´t work for the NTC sensor in the map sensor.
I´ll try AdcVccX later this day.

Hi sir!!

Could you explain me why doesn't works on ADC input?
Have you running fine?

Thanks

AdcX input is 0-5V analog input (for voltage signal)
AdcVcc input is 0-5V analog input with internal pullup (pullup 1k resistor +5V) for resistance sensors which require power

So if you have voltage signal from sensor (voltage sensor or resistance sensor already powered from ECU) then you have to connect to AdcX. If you have resistance sensor which should be powered also (it's not already connected to stock ECU) then you have to connect it to AdcVccX.

Okey.

I suposse that snaxxi was ussing the stock sensor powered by vehicle ecu.

Thanks
