Hello i have a 996 carrera and i want to "steal" signal from the oem sensors for water and oil temp.. Is there any possibility doing that to confuse the signal going to ecu and have a false reading???? Also as i can undertand the oem sensors are analog ntc sensors and i have to calibrate them. Where i can found the values to do the proper table??? :? :? or how what i have to measure to find the values i am looking?? sensors are in the photos attached.. the oil sensor is a bit weird because it is oil level sensor in the same time...

You will need to get 2 voltage signals and connect them to AdcX inputs:

1. voltage signal from oil temperature sensor - the sensor is already powered from vehicle ECU so you will need to connect it to AdcX, e.g. Adc1 if it's 0-5V signal or Adc5 if it's 0-12V signal
2. voltage signal from coolant temperature sensor - the same as above (AdcX)

Next, you will need to make voltage/temperature table to get proper data of both sensors - you can use excel calculator which will help you to find proper data - please check excel calculator and calibration tutorial in this topic: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=58

To get voltage/temperature table you can read it using diagnostic tool (if possible) or measure it with voltmeter and other temperature sensor (you have to find out voltage/temperature table).

PS. if these sensors will be connected ONLY to UTCOMP then it will be easier, because you can connect both to AdcVccX inputs and measure resistance only. But if they stock sensors for dash (and already powered from ECU) then you have to connect them to AdcX inputs (it will "steal" voltage signal without influence for measurement - ECU will not see it) and check voltage (not resistance)

For the water temp i only need the voltage from the utcomp and the temp read from car ecu???
I took some voltage readings from 55 to 95 degrees every 5 degrees... i putted on the ecxel but didnt worked.. what should i do with the excel cells that i have no values like 120-130-140 20-30-40 ??

For water temp you only need voltage and temperature. Does it show correctly for 55-95C range?
Please share me your voltage/temperature table or excel and I'll check calculations.
