Here are some pictures of the install of a UTCOMP-PRO into my 1979 Ford Cortina (Taunus in Europe). The main computer is mounted underneath the glove box area in a aluminium cradle. The glove box is modified so that the lower half is easily removable. The display is mounted in the centre console (from a later Cortina) in a lower housing that was originally for a radio. This was modified using 2mm plastic to make a suitable location for the display and the switches (and a few other things). The buzzer is fixed to the bottom of this removable housing aligning with a hole in the bottom of the console to allow the sound out. I also have made a special socket in the glove box wall for the comms cable rather than have the cable hidden somewhere.
I shall load some more pictures when I have finished the install.

Here are some more pictures of the installation. I noticed that while I was working on the wiring, the display plug on the computer kept becoming loose and falling out, not good when the computer is hidden away !. So a small bracket was added to the cradle to stop this from happening. I also decided that for future ease, I would fit individual plugs to the computer wiring.
I am not currently using all of the inputs and outputs, and rather than getting the soldering iron out again when I do want to use them, it is easier to just add a plug or just a single pin in an existing plug. The wiring was separated into specific looms depending on where the signals are sourced. I have enclosed a diagram of the wiring. Some of the input signals (Injector,RPM) are taken directly from the ECU and the IAT and MAP sensors are already used by the ECU, so all of them were tapped off from the loom at the ECU itself which is behind the centre console.
The power to the computer is routed via the main console wiring plug, so if the console needs to be removed, the power to the computer will be disconnected before the display plug can be removed.
The install is now just about finished. I now need to calibrate all the sensors and the Fuel and Speed calibration.
