Update v3.5 for UTCOMP-3 and UTCOMP-PRO

Postby ArT » Tue Jun 20, 2017 10:35 am

Dear UTCOMP Users :!:
We have a small gift for you - update v3.5 for UTCOMP-3 and UTCOMP-PRO 8-)

UTCOMP_v3-5_Setup-EN

Who can update and how to update?

Update is free for all and it will work with all UTCOMP-3 and UTCOMP-PRO modules. Update process is described in update manual (in software: menu help -> manuals). If you have troubles into switching to DFU (update mode) than you should clear device memory by pressing CTRL + ALT + SHIFT + R in software (all settings and statistics will be erased!) and update after that. You should save default settings to UTCOMP after update (CTRL + ALT + R)

Changelog v3.5 for UTCOMP-3 and UTCOMP-PRO

Autoupdater in application

Autoupdater is now built into UTCOMP app so any new updates will be detected by application (internet connection is needed).

Disable oil pressure alert for low battery voltage

There is possibility to disable oil pressure alert when battery voltage drops below X volts. In practice, you can disable alert when engine is off and ignition is still on (battery voltage is higher when engine is running).

NTC temperature sensors - simplified calibration

In v3.5 is totally changed calibration method for analog temperature (NTC) sensors. Now there are required only 2 constants (R25 and Beta) which may be easy calculated - you will need at least 2 data points (resistance in function of temperature) - dedicated calculator is included in UTCOMP app. With new method you can scale sensors more accurate for wider range of temperatures.

PLEASE NOTE! Previous calibration parameters (A, t, t0) are not compatible and will not work anymore. After update you will need to scale sensors with new method (R25 and Beta). Simplified calculator is available in application. You can also use excel worksheet - more information in tutorial: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=58

If you want to avoid this process - do not update UTCOMP.
If you have NTC sensor from REVELTRONICS - than new constants are: R25 = 52489 [ohm], Beta = 4095 [K]

GUI fixes for Gear Indicator

Restored gear indicator for UL/UR (UTCOMP-3) and A/B (UTCOMP-PRO) areas in user screens. Also fixed displaying gear in areas 2,4,6 (UTCOMP-PRO)

OLED mode change using buttons (UTCOMP-PRO)

Added possibility to quick change OLED mode in UTCOMP-PRO between normal and HUD (Head Up Display). This is useful option for users who are using two displays connected in parallel to one UTCOMP-PRO module: 1st in dashboard as normal display, and 2nd in HUD mode. Both display will display the same, but now you can use normal mode during day and HUD mode during night and switch between them easly using buttons (click SW1 long and then SW2 to switch OLED mode).

Added EGT5 i EGT6 (UTCOMP-PRO)

There is possibility to modify UTCOMP-PRO AdcVccX inputs to AdcX inputs and then you can connect EGT5 and EGT6 to these inputs. Alerts and datalogger will work with all 6 channels. Hardware modification is required, but it is very simple - please contact our support if you are interested.

Increased Data-Logger sampling frequence (UKP-PRO)

Now it is possible to record up to 5 samples per second for AFR (both channels), EGT (all channels) and manifold pressure (boost). Change was descibed in latest FB posts: https://www.facebook.com/UTCOMP/

DigOutUser control based on boost

Now digital output (DigOutUser) can use also boost as input signal, e.g. for overboost. DigOutUser is low frequency output control e.g. as relay switch, you will find more details in tutorial: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=172

Changelog for previous updates:
Update v3.4
Update v3.3
Update v3.2
