Overload protection

Hi!! I have problems reading the EEPROMs, I am using a SOP8 socket with 25LB64C, 25Q16CV and other models and it does not allow me to read them. It always throws the protection error. I checked with another socket and it has the same problem. No error message if voltage is less than 1.0V but cannot read eeprom.

How is it write protect pin connected in external circuit and what is current consumption of external circuit?

It is not connected externally, a SOP8 socket is used.

Pin 1 is on wrong side, please flip chip 180 deg
You are doing short circuit at this moment. Hope programmer is still fine.
Pin 1 should be as dot on picture below green ZIF socket

It is placed correctly. It was working, some eeprom were reprogrammed and the next day it no longer worked.

How about hardware test? Remove chip and adapter from socket and please make hardware test from upper menu tools

Test should never be done with inserted eeprom.
Programmer is damaged and needs repair, I'm sending you PM with details
