External power supply specifications

Postby deere245 » Sun Dec 04, 2016 11:01 pm

What are the requirements for the external power supply?
AC or DC?
What size is the connector?
I can not find this information or even a photo of the connector.

I just read the manual again. It sounds like by external power supply, it actually means powering the circuit the chip is in. Not a power supply that connects to the Revelprog IS.

Thanks

REVELPROG-IS is powered from USB (the same cable for communication). Power consumption is limited to 100mA (to 200mA if you change current limit in settings). If you are programming in external circuit which requires more power, than you will need to connect external power supply to this external circuit (not to revelprog) - usually it is stock power supply or ATX connector in case of PC motherboards.

Thank you for the reply.
It was a little unclear to me. I had thought you could plug an external power supply into the Revelprog.
