Hello,
I have a Revelprog recorder.
I can read the contents of the memorys with 1.8 volts are the memories: W25Q128JVSM and IS25LQ016, but when I have to record again in the memorys I have to change the voltage to 2.5v, even so, sometimes it doesn't. It's normal?
I would like to know if it is possible to read and write these memorys with fewer wires connected to the chip? That is, do I have to connect the 8 contacts?
On the other hand, when I test the hadware in the tools menu, it gives the following information. 'It's normal?

W25Q128JV is 3V chip so it should operate on VPP = 3.0V +/- 0.3V (page 60 datasheet https://www.winbond.com/resource-files/ ... 20plus.pdf)

The same is for IS25LQ016: http://www.issi.com/WW/pdf/25LQ016.pdf

So it's normal when you use voltage below nominal. All below 2.7V operation may not work for these chips.

Your current test for 5V seems to be little to high and voltage little too low, it not looks so bad - probably your USB port in computer gives a little below +5V (very common). But for +3V rail it looks 100% fine so it does not matter for FLASH chips.

Anwering for the second part of question - it's enough to connect CS, CLK, MISO, MOSI, VPP and GND to read. For erase & write you will need also to connect also WP pin if it's unconnected in circuit (you do not have to if it's connected to VPP in board, and you should NOT connect if it's connected to GND in board - desolder the chip and programm it in adapter)
