What was previous step? Have you updated it or cancelled? Probably you started update and cancelled and now programmer is in update mode. Just disconnect programmer and connect again and it will back to normal mode. Or you have cancelled update process during erasing or write - in such case firmware is corrupted. Or you have updated only software and skipped firmware update (in such case you have programmer in v1.8.4 and software in v1.8.5). Please let me know in details about your previous steps.

Hi,

I have updated the software and the update finished normally.
Now ii reports 1.8.5 software version.
Then then software requested a firmware update. I done it, and it seemed to end normally.
Powering off and on the programmer doesn't change the status.
When I exit software and run it again the firmware update box (image attached) appears again.

By the way, would it be possible to change my username from "AbilioPereria" to "AbilioPereira"
I typed it wrong initially.

Regards,
Abilio

Dear Abilio, it seems like firmware update process not finished correctly and programmer still starts in DFU update mode. What happen if you click "yes"? It should clear old firmware and upload new firmware and then restart in normal mode. I can make you video if you wish how update process looks like.

PS. I can not change user name on forum, I think the only solution is to register 2nd account with correct name.

I prepared you 2 tutorial movies:

1. How firmware update process should look like:

2. Your case when process was cancelled (application detects programmer in DFU mode at start up)

Hi,

I have done exactly the same, but the programmer gets stucked on Device Firmware Update (FDU).
At the end of the update it doesn't switch to normal operation.
I have uninstalled 1.8.5 and install 1.8.4 but the result is the same.
The programmer don't switch to normal mode.
If you want to have a remote access to my PC just let me know.
It must have something to do with the update because when I install it from the scratch it worked find.

Is there any programmer factory default feature?

Regards,
Abilio

Hi,

Working.
I installed on another PC and the programmer switched from update to normal.
When plugged on my PC again it worked.

Thanks,
Abilio
