NMC9307 support

Postby Vitasovec » Mon Jan 24, 2022 11:19 pm

Hello, will this programmer be suitable for NMC9307 EEPROM ? Only NMC9306 is in the supported devices list, however looking at the datasheets of both chips, they look exactly the same incl. instructions. Only difference is that 9307 has BPE pin for locking bulk programming. This should not matter as the chip is unlocked in default until you ground the pin 6. Will it work with this programer if i just choose 9306 or will it have some errors because numbers don't match up ? Also does the programmer grounds pin 6 ? I would like to know before I buy it. Thank you for answer.

I've not tested it but looking at datasheet I think it should work. Programmer gives VCC on pin 6 for NMC9306 and it does not checking ID for any 93x series (they do not have ID feature) so in my opinion when you select NMC9306 it should programm also NMC9307. Please let me know when you test it. If you would like you can also send me nmc9307 chip and I can test it.

Unfortunately not, it's very old chip and I guess it's available only from disassembling
