Hi Pityu, are you selecting FLASH -> 25 series -> Macronix -> MX25L6473F?
If yes, please make sure that MOSI and WP pins are contacting (effect will be the same if these pins are not contacting).
If still is problem, please try with 3.3V.
If still is problem, please share your hardware test, then click CTRL + 2 (in hardware test) and share your results.

Hi !
Yes, I select MX25L6473F.
All contact are soldered in adapter, check with multimeter. And I check my WSON adapter with 25Q64FW (everything is OK, write, erase, check)
I try with 3.3V, the result is the same.
I check the voltage on 4 pin and 8 pin with multimeter, have 3.3V... My 4 protection buffers are very new, changeit few days a go.
It is possible to be write protected? I try 5 pcs. Or is all 5 pcs damage?

Hmmm,

If W25Q64 is working then we know that adapter is fine and programmer is fine.
MX25L6473F have quite similar protocol for communication.
It's strange. I'll try to find tomorrow such chip and check it if it can be write protected. I'll let you know.

One more question, do you have erasing error after few seconds, after ~3 minutes, or it gives no error during erasing?
Is it writing to device and it gives later verification error or is it communication error at 0%?
Are these chips brand new or desoldered from working devices?

Hi ArT,
The erasing error is approximately after 3 minutes, i think 0% is erase. The status bar is empty.
If I the change sequence in writhe & verify I have error like in picture attached and the first hexadecimal lines, have to look like this:
FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF
5A A5 F0 0F 03 00 04 02 06 02 10 15 20 01 21 00

The chips are new the same lot.

Just tested it on MX25L6405 with v1.8.0 and everything is working fine. Unfortunately I do not have MX25L6473 at the moment, but read/erase/write procedures are the same for both - I checked it in datasheets:
https://datasheetspdf.com/pdf-file/1259 ... 25L6473E/1
https://datasheetspdf.com/pdf-file/6460 ... 25L6405D/1
Device ID is also the same for both (C2h 20h h17) and erasing/programming commands are the same.
There are BlockProtect (BP) bits in status register, but for both devices there in the same place and REVELPROG is disabling block protect (even if it is enabled) before erase and write. New devices should not be protected anyway, so this is not the case.

It's very strange - it should work. It seems too me that MOSI or WP are not contacting (effect will be the same), but.. W25Q64 is working (both pins in the same place) so this is not the case... What's more, ...6473 variant does not have WP pin.

But I have an idea.

I prepared you memory database file with "MX25L6473E-BE" - it is using Block Erase command instead of Chip Erase command. Please unzip file from attachment and replace it in "%appdata%/REVELPROG-IS". Then select MX25L6473E-BE (with "BE" at the end) and test it. Please let me know about results.

PS. There is also WPSEL bit in Security Register (page 52 in datasheet). It is OTP bit (one time programm) - when it was set to "1" then device is write protected by default (erase and write will not work).. but you have new devices so this is not the case.

I try it.
Now I have erase error in few seconds. I think the chips are damage.
I order another 5pcs I will try it after 3 weeks when I receive it.
I will send one or two to you... Maybe you are lucky.

Hmm it's very unlikely that all 5pcs are damaged.
If you could send 1-2 pcs it will be great, I'll check all my tricks with it.

Can I make hard reset to the programmer? Rewrite the latest firmware?
I find in my chip box MX25L6473 8-SOP... the behaviour is the same. I try with another programmer and it work.
I will resolder the buffers... I don't know what to do.
