"Programmer is not connected"

The red "power" LED is flashing and software says "Programmer is not connected".
Used the cable delivered with the programmer.
Connected to a Microsoft Surface Pro 4 USB 3.0 port that works fine otherwise.
Any idea?

Problem solved, the driver was not properly installed.

On win10 driver should be installed from application (page 7 in manual)
