Art,
I purchased the attached mechanical to digital speed sensor that I've installed in my transmission. I want to verify the connections before actually wiring it up.
It uses 3 wires: 12v power, Ground and Signal
UTComp doesn't have a 12v supply, so I'll supply it power externally. My question is on the "Signal" wire. I presently have it marked to connect to pin A22 (VSS). I presume this is correct? I only ask because of the 12v power.
Thanks!
PS - First engine start this weekend!

Re: Speed Sensor Connection Verification
Hello,
Yes it's fine but I think that you should also connect pull-up resistor (e.g. 4,7kohm or 10k ohm) between signal wire and power supply wire (+12V pulses for VSS input is fine).

Re: Speed Sensor Connection Verification
Seems to be working w/o pull up resistor but will add one. Thanks!
