High value measured

Hello,

I'm wondering how I can get this:
- My EGT are max on UTCOMP and VCDS which is Audi software
- I found a misconnected wire that fixed VCDS
- the UTCOMP value was at max ADC hence like a pull up
- some minutes later The UTCOMP reading was ok

Do you know why the fix was ok on Audi VCDS then I did not see the same fix on UTCOMP... I'm ondering how I can get the ADC saturation if the wire was the measured value... perhaps I have 2 or more issues.
hence , how could I get a signal saturation on EGT-K board ?

EGT-K will show maximum value with disconnected thermocouple on input. In case of thermocouple failure or connection failure you will get around +5V on EGT-K output (~1250C). Are you using stock thermocouple connected to stock ECU and to EGT-K at the same time? As I know such configuration may not work properly

Thanks, I do think there was an open circuit before the EGT-K by the way.

I'm using the guenine EGT block on my Audi TT:



I plugged the EGT-K on it and It's been working 1000Km without any issue, do you mean that impedance on EGT-K may be the issue ?

Yes impedance may be issue but it also depends on ecu, so if it's fine in your case you can stay with it
