How to Clone original SFP into some sfps with unique serial number

Hi,

how to make CISC* sfp compatible from code that we get from original sfp?

so we have original code from orginal sfp and clone it into some sfp each with unique serial number.

Need advice.

As I know if you have compatible OEM SFP it's enough to copy firmware (A0 block) from one to another. OEM SFP should be the same type as original (just ask OEM vendor/seller if it's compatible with your original SFP)

Sometimes there is also vendor information in other memory area (please check memory map here https://forum.reveltronics.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=529) e.g. for SFP you have page select byte where additional information in 128 byte pages may be stored e.g. page 0 is default and it contains user eeprom but for some transceivers you have also available page 1 with control functions or some vendor specific pages. You can read pages with revelprog by selecting SFP [USER], changing area to "Page Select" and switching page number so you can check if there is any information stored in additional pages (if you have communication error or all data 0x00 or 0xFF it means page is not available/not used)

Ciscx needs special code encryption, and you cannot instered more than one module into the same equitment with one orginal code.
