Tank Level Sensor

Postby Inzan3 » Fri Jun 02, 2017 8:11 pm

Hello, i have a little problem. My Tank Level Sensor is a Pull-down type ( measure resistance to Ground) and UTComp needs Pull-up to 5V. It isnt possible to use it as Pull-Up what can i do?

It's fine because you are measuring voltage level directly, so you will have e.g. ~5V on tank empty and ~0V on tank full and it will work too.

So the Tank gauge supplies the 5V?

In most cases voltage is in range of 0-5V. In older cars it may be 0-12V. I'm talking about stock sensors connected to AdcX input (if you want to connect additional sensor than it should be connected to AdcVccX and it should be minimum 1k ohm resistance range)
