dual widebands on display

Post by kens »

can two wide bands be displayed at the same time? I would like to monitor both banks on the display. Also just by rescaling I can display lambda instead of AFR correct?
Thanks

Generally it is single AFR to choose in app, but you can rescale any other linear value to get 2nd AFR (e.g. BAR/PSI from boost or oil pressure, EGT etc. if you not using it). Additionaly if you have UTCOMP-PRO than you can change icons, e.g. to AFR1 and AFR2:

Yes you can rescale AFR to Lambda and change icons also.

edit 2016-10-16: in UTCOMP is already implemented dual AFR and dual lambda feature.

the EGT 4 setting will not convert to the Lambda setting. The EGT seems to be a fixed point number and i need a Floating. Please help.
I will be using the oil temp, 2 air temps and water temp along with the oil pressure and boost pressure once i am finished with my install. As for now the unit is not working as i hoped. I need a second calculation to feed the second Lambda output.

Thank you.

You are right and you should use x10 multiplier, e.g. for 13.5 -> 135, for 14.7 -> 147 etc. We will consider to add dedicated lambda readings in incoming update so it will be more friendly. Please send me a mail on PM so I can send you beta version for update when it will be ready.

Do you have any other issues? Oil temp + 2 air temps + water temp + oil pressure and boost pressure should work like a charm, so if you have any questions or need any help just let me know.

We are working on it. We would like to add some other features too so it will be single update. Probably at the end of this month.

kens, could you explain me how important is to measure afr/lambda from 2 sensors (dual wideband) ?

I'm asking because we are during writing firmware for update. We have done already option to display lambda value (you can choose AFR or LAMBDA), but adding second bank for AFR/Lambda will consume a lot of time and quite much device's memory. With AFR/Lambda is associated alert system, data logger, sensor config etc. so for this "simple" mod there are a lot of changes in firmware to do and I need good explanation why it should be worth to do it, because anyone else has not asking for it.
