EGT sensor wires

Hello, I have just received my UTCOMP-PRO plus 4-ch. EGT-K and 2 EGT sensors. I am using this to setup carburators on a 4cylinder twostroke racebike (500cc). I want to know if I can shorten the sensor cables, or at least cut off the cable shoes? Would this change the output signal of the sensor? Also, can I buy the brass olives for the sensor mount alone?

Yes you can shorten wires, it does not change readings at all. If you would like to extend thermocouple cables than it has to be special thermocouple type k cables.
